Description : Several collections from the Photographic Arhives focus on the damage resulting from the catastrophic tornado of March 27, 1890. This storm killed over one hundred people, with fifty-five dying at the Falls City Hall in Louisville, where several groups and a dancing class were meeting. This tornado remains the twenty-fifth most deadly storm in United States history. Among the collections are the Klauber collection with eight large mounted prints by local photographer Edward Klauber, and the Brecher collection with sixty-three glass negatives by an unidentified photographer.
